Introductions - Persuasive

Kia-ora, today I am posting my intro duction of persuasive writing. This week we were
learning to write a persuasive text using the right structure. For now we had to write
a introduction. Down below here is an intro about why children should have mobile phones.
It doesn't seem much but I know that I was succesful because I stated the main
arguments and I used the right structure.

Why Children Should Have Mobile Phones

In my point of view, I totally suggest that children should have mobile phones.
My reasons for this are simple: while security, safety and social media, entertainment
and educational work are typically the main reasons to consider getting your child a mobile phone.

3. put in your obstacles
4. Create your code/directions
5. insert your voice recordings
6. Check with buddy
7. Screencast and post to blog

Reflection Of The Week

This week has just felt like a normal school week. Everything has not changed that much but still what a learning week it has been. This week I think that I have be doing a pretty good job of learning, creating D.L.O's and sharing them on my blog. Hopefully there are more challengers next week to solve and share them on my blog. Already now I have posted three things so far and I think it is great that I am excelling through my work. From now on, I want to try and work harder and blog as much as I can through the whole term and year. In writing I am currently in group Mana, so we had to write a recount and below this post, I think you would be able to see and watch the video. In readingI am in Haunie - Tawhiri and am able to read te reo maori books. Also down below you will see a presentation of my reading. Last but not least, math, for maths I am in Moetara and have been doing diffrent strategies cal rounding and comphansating. Anyways, so that is my reflection of the week.

Not so Picture Perfect Birthday

  Not so Picture Perfect Birthday

My eyes snapped open.  I threw off the blanket, jumped out of bed and I was really excited.
This day had finally arrived and I was so thrilled. “Wake up!” I screamed at Summer. “Yeah, yeah”
she whispered, rolling back over in the blanket.  But then she popped back out and said, “Happy Birthday
Zep”. “Thanks” I replied smiling over my shoulder as I made my way to my parents room.
Opening the door, I poked my head into mum and dad’s room. They were still sleeping, so I moved
to the next room that had my brothers in it. I don’t have to be nice to them, so instead of the ‘wake
up’ ‘hi’ conversation, I banged open the door, and shouted “hurry up! It’s my birthday”.  “Get out!”
Denzel growled, ignoring me. I got ready, had breakfast, brushed my teeth, sat on the couch, and
with arms crossed and legs bouncing, I waited for my family to get ready…..very impatiently.

Mum finally walked in with an envelope. “Here’s some money from the family for you”. I was so stoked,
“thank you” I replied with a big hug to mum and dad.  Opening it up, I looked inside and guess how
much I got…$200! $200 dollars. I had the biggest smile. I couldn’t wait to spend it. Now this might sound
pretty lame to you, but I thought it was awesome.  We didn’t know where we were going, but when we
pulled into the Centre Place in Hamilton, I knew…. I just knew we were heading to the mall!

I wanted to get me some clothes, so I looked in red rat and other places.  But most of my money and
time was spent at Time Zone. There were so many arcade games, races, basketball, shooting
games...too many to say.  We were there for a couple of hours, then we made our way back home
for a rest...or play video games.

After that we then headed out again to a place in Chartwell, another mall. We just had lunch there
which was some mouth watering sushi. Man oh man, what appetizing sushi. After that, we walked around,
browsing through the store windows.  “Man, I wish we had money” Keila and Summer were grumbling,
as they saw things they wanted. I bought them lunch. It’s not my fault they didn’t save their money.
But I could see that they were getting annoyed and were over shopping.

A few hours after having a look around the stores, we then collected my birthday feast from one to
the other of the most delightful foods of KFC and Wendy’s. How delicious! We finally arrived back home
and had dinner. The others were all rushing to the table to get what they wanted. I needed to go to
the toilet so I was late to the table.  The first thing I saw plated piled high with food. Everyone was
stuffing their mouths. All I saw were bones, chips and a half eaten burger. I was so angry and annoyed.
“Where’s mine?” I sulked. “Oh, we forgot” Summer said, laughing.

I picked up the half eaten burger, and made my way to the lounge to watch t.v.  I was sulking and eating
angrily. Even then though, I loved spending the day with my family.  Celebrating my special day with
them was awesome...even though it wasn’t ending on a great note, I still had a blast shopping around,
gaming at Time Zone, and eating a humongous feast... well not for me anyways.

Here is a video of me talking of my recount story: Hope you enjoy!
