Week 4, Activity 1 - Rags to Riches
For this activity, design a book cover for your favourite book. You will need to think about what needs to be on the cover (the title, author, illustrator), pictures, colour, etc. Please create all of the images yourself (draw or photograph) rather than using images that you find online.
On your blog, share the book cover you have designed.

What did you get up to over the Christmas break? I went up to Whangarei Heads with friends! I loved being by the beach, however I didn’t get to swim very much as it as too windy! Congratulations on completing all the activities so fast! I can’t wait to read them all!
I really enjoyed your book cover creation! What book is it for? I love your art! My team and I love this activity because we get to see lots of artwork from the bloggers! Ka pai on your creativity and enthusiasm! I think it’s awesome how you’ve managed to recreate the traditional “Harry Potter” font!
Remember you need to include the Author’s name, Illustrators' name and the official book title for full marks - otherwise it isn’t a book cover. Please could you put these details on so we can award you full points!
